Post-Holiday Blues

There is a predictableness in what is tossed out in the first two weeks after Christmas. You can easily guess what month it is by what is visible on this trash pickup day depicted in this painting. Most of the trash will make it into the bins for trash day pick up but some will overflow the bins and fall on the street, as viewed in my Post-Holiday Blues painting. I chose a blue palette for this painting and enjoyed working with a smaller range of colors.
