Reflection of a Round About Sign

This painting is a remake of a former painting that I created in 2014. I was not satisfied with the puddle on the first painting. I chose to preserve the road surface, the stripe on the road, the tire track and the windshield wiper. In late spring, I was walking near the Galleria Shopping Center in Edina, MN when I came upon a puddle near a Round About between France Ave. and York Ave. The bright slanted light at 4 PM created a vivid reflection of the sign flipped upside down in a puddle. A slight wind was blowing that distorted the sign’s image in the water.
